I-Think Office Towers

Palava

Situated at the threshold of the first phase of development at Palava city – Casa Bella, these twin office towers form what is referred to as the ‘town centre’ of the development.

The master planning of Casa Bella employed public buildings like workspaces, a mall, a school, and a soccer stadium, to define its edge. These buildings were meant to be the image that defines Casa Bella & Palava while also being a bridge between the newer communities at Casa Bella and the older ones from the immediate vicinity. The I-Think office towers are integral to this vision and play an active role in its realisation.

Situated parallel to the Kalyan-Shil Road, Tower 1, along with the Experia Mall, defines the entry into Casa Bella. Towers 1 & 2 are seven and six storey buildings, respectively and sit over 2 levels of basements. The entire parking is accommodated within the basement levels, leaving the ground plane to be utilised effectively as a public plaza. The ground levels of both buildings have considerable areas earmarked for retail activity. Tower 1 houses a cluster of F&B outlets which are allowed to spill onto an abundant plaza, injecting vibrancy, and energy into the office complex. The upper levels cater to office spaces for varying sizes. Precise placement of core and structural grids allows a high degree of flexibility. Some floors cater to large format offices like BPOs while others are meant for smaller boutique offices.

The buildings have their distinct identities derived from their distinct geometries. While Tower 1 is an ensemble of orthogonal geometry and a fluid curve, Tower 2 is a robust cube. But it is in their materiality and the language of their façade design, that the buildings come together in harmony. The opacity and solidity of stone is juxtaposed against the lightness and transparency of glass. Both towers use glass as a delicate wrap around a robust, stone clad inner core. The result is a set of buildings which feel rooted in their context while resonating with the aspirations of their community.
